We were delighted to host our first-ever JAM Slam! on September 12, 2020! This unique online event featured performers and artists from near and far who shared their expressions of the theme "What do I put my faith in now?". The event culminated in a glorious word sculpture and a real-time spoken word piece using words shared by viewers as they responded to the theme of the evening. The result is the image pictured here. 

Originally conceived as an open mic, the event was transformed into an online "happening" when quarantine and social distancing necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic made a live event impossible. Kudos to our JAM Slam committee members and our performing artists for pivoting to create a magical evening for the 100+ viewers!

Thanks so much to all who joined us at our JAM Slam on September 12! We are thrilled with how JAM Slam went, and so enjoyed seeing you all and sharing this wonderful gathering with you. We felt the same warm sense of community, welcome and friendship we always feel when we gather at a JAM event, and were grateful to be together despite the physical separation.
