M. DAVID KAMRAT

Moshe David Kamrat was born in Yafo, Israel in 1952. His parents, both Holocaust survivors, immigrated to Israel in 1949, and the family moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1957. Working with his father, a house painter and folk artist, led David to a career in construction and development. In 1996 through 2010, David and his son partnered in the telecom business. From 2010 until present David owns and operates an organic food distribution business in Eugene Oregon called Planet Verde.

David and his wife Jane met at school, have three children, and have enjoyed a lifetime of activism in the areas of social justice, care of the environment and Jewish Renewal. In 2001 David founded JAM & ALL after the tragic events of 9/11 where he served as president until 2004.

He received the honoree degree as Rodef Hashalom (peacemaker) from the late Rabbi Zalman Schachter.
