Sofiya Deen was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to parents from British Guyana, South America. After receiving her B.S. in Healthcare Administration from New York University, she joined the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Patient Account Department. Following a move to Florida, Sofiya has been employed by Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Educational Institute for the past 20 years and is currently serving as Graduate Medical Education Coordinator. Sofiya, her husband, and their two sons are members of Masjid Jamaat Al’Mu-mineen (The Margate Mosque) and she has been president of the Ladies Group since 1997. Sofiya is also a member of the Coral Springs Multicultural Advisory Committee since 2001 and a member of JAM & ALL Interfaith since 2002.
